Amazon Prime to premiere Jalsa, starring Shefali Shah, Vidya Balan

The four titles – Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Shamshera – will stream on Amazon four weeks after their theatrical release.

Excel Entertainment production is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and stars Farhan Akhtar.

Indian telco Bharti Airtel has partnered with Amazon on the plan, which includes an introductory offer of $1.20 a month.

Bong Joon Ho’s multiple Oscar winning film will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video India from March 27.

Amazon Prime Video has so far launched half a dozen Indian originals across three languages and has a further 30 in development.

Award-winning film is streaming a few weeks after theatrical release.
