IFFR’s Hubert Bals Fund has selected twelve feature film projects in its latest funding round, with each awarded a grant of Euros10,000 under its Development Support scheme.
The fund reported a record-breaking application round in which 1,169 projects were submitted. The selected projects include genres such as neo-Western, surrealist comedy, sci-fi and a documentary hybrid, set in locations from Belarus and Kenya to Palestine.
In October, Hubert Bals Fund also awarded four projects grants of Euros60,000 each through the HBF+Europe: Post-production Support scheme. The awards, sponsored by Creative Europe MEDIA, offer support for the final stages of European co-productions with filmmakers from regions where the HBF targets its support.
