DramaFever’s My Secret Romance to premiere simultaneously in US, Korea

US-based streaming service DramaFever is set to premiere original series My Secret Romance simultaneously on its platform in the US and on cable channel OCN in South Korea.

The premiere marks the first time that DramaFever is streaming episodes in the US at the same time as their overseas broadcast.

The 12×40-minute series stars Sung Hoon (Oh My Venus) and Song Ji Eun, who is a member of K-pop group Secret. Filmed in Korea’s Jeju Island and Seoul, it was co-produced by DramaFever and Godin Media.

The series will premiere on April 17, with new episodes to stream on DramaFever every Monday and Tuesday at 9am Eastern Time (ET).

“Television production in Korea is consistently raising the bar and delivering stories that transcend country and language barriers,” said DramaFever president and co-founder Suk Park.

“We look forward to bringing our insight and expertise regarding both Korean drama formats and the U.S. television market to this fast-growing genre to create significant and memorable content.”

DramaFever was acquired in February 2016 by Warner Bros, which bought the site from Japan’s SoftBank.
