Anson Lo, a member of hot Hong Kong boy band Mirror, has joined the cast of upcoming zombie movie Chungking Mansions, along with Hong Kong-Canadian actresses Selena Lee and Jeannie Chan, Thai actress Davika Hoorne, Korean star Choi Si-Hun and Hong Kong star Louis Cheung.

Previously announced members of the ensemble cast include Japanese action star Rina Takeda and Singaporean actors Desmond Tan and Rebecca Lim.

Produced by Phoenix Waters Productions and directed by Bizhan Tong, the action thriller tells the story of a disparate group of people from across the globe who must climb the iconic Chungking Mansions building amidst a zombie outbreak in Hong Kong.

While the action centres on an American seeking to rescue his pregnant wife, the story flits between people of all nationalities across the city who are undergoing their own journeys to survive.

Lo has also starred in hit Hong Kong series Ossan’s Love, local broadcaster ViuTV’s adaptation of a popular Japanese ‘boys love’ series. In Chungking Mansions, he will play a young professional who joins a tour group of the famous building in Tsim Sha Tsui when the outbreak begins.

Hong Kong-Canadian actress Selena Lee has credits including Hong Kong series Barrack O’Karma, produced by TVB, as well as Canadian series Blood And Water, which also stars Simu Liu.

Jeannie Chan recently collaborated with Tong in the lead role of crime series Forensic Psychologist, which was picked up by Endeavour Content for international sales and remakes. She also has credits including the Cold War movies and the latest season of the Flying Tiger franchise. Chan and Lee will play sisters caught up in the disaster.

Louis Cheung has starred in movies including G Storm and Zero To Hero, while Choi Si-Hun is known for his role in Korean drama Single’s Inferno.

Chungking Mansions is produced by Phoenix Waters in co-production with Hong Kong’s AMM Global and Salon Films Japan.
